AI Video

Where Studio › Home › Create with: AI VideoCost 20 credits for 5 seconds at 480p

AI Video generates one short clip of original footage, 5 to 15 seconds long, from your description. You can start it from a picture of your own as the first frame. Clips are made in the background and saved to your Video library, and the finished clip opens in the video editor as a new edit.

  1. On Home, choose AI Video under Create with.

  2. Describe what the camera sees and what happens, in at least 10 characters. For example: “Morning light over a quiet harbour, fishing boats rocking gently, gulls crossing the frame.” Sound follows what you describe.

  3. Optionally, press + (Add a first frame) to start the clip from a picture in your library.

  4. Set Length, Format, Resolution, Camera and Look.

  5. Press Generate video. The clip appears in the Video library below the prompt and moves through Queued, Generating and Saving to your library to Ready. It keeps going if you leave the page.

  6. When it’s ready, it opens as the first clip of a new edit in the video editor.

Camera and Look add written direction to your prompt for you. When more than one video model is available, a Model menu appears too, and the options follow the chosen model.

A preset keeps your prompt and settings together. Under More, choose Save generation preset, name it and Save preset. Apply it later from Saved presets; applying a preset replaces your words (with Undo). The presets manager can rename, duplicate, import and back up presets.

The price beside the arrow changes as you change Length and Resolution. You’re charged once, when you press Generate video. A clip that fails, is cancelled, or ends as Needs attention with nothing delivered gives its credits back.

Every clip you generate is kept in the Video library under the prompt, across sessions. Search by prompt or tag, filter by folder or status, and press Refresh to update.

Each card offers:

  • Use in an edit: open the clip in a new video edit,
  • Download,
  • Reuse settings: put the clip’s prompt and settings back in the prompt,
  • Details: the request ID, mode, status, seed and first frame,
  • Check progress while it’s being made.

Clips also appear in your Assets.

  • The model reads up to 2,000 characters. A longer description is shortened by the AI when you generate, and the studio tells you before and after.
  • A first frame is one PNG, JPG or WebP picture from your library, up to 10 MB. It’s sent to the video provider.
  • One request makes one clip.
Status Meaning
Queued / Generating The clip is being made.
Saving to your library It’s finished and being stored.
Ready Done.
Failed / Cancelled Nothing was made, and your credits were given back.
Needs attention The studio couldn’t confirm the outcome, for example because the provider didn’t confirm the request. It won’t be sent again on its own. If nothing was delivered, the card says Its credits were given back.
