AI Product Director

Where Studio › Home › Create with: AI Product DirectorCost 60 credits a film

AI Product Director makes a finished film from a sentence, a scene-by-scene script, your website or your files. It writes the story, designs every scene with moving type, product shots and graphics, records a narration, and composes the music. Films run from 12 seconds to 5 minutes. When it’s done, you change anything by asking in the chat beside the preview, then download the MP4.

The film’s voice, music and sound effects are included in its price.

  1. On Home, leave AI Product Director chosen (it’s the default), or open AI Product Director from All tools.

  2. Describe your film in the prompt, in at least 12 characters. For example: “A 30-second launch film for Lumen, a note-taking app that turns voice memos into tidy summaries. Calm, confident, for busy founders.” You can also start from a website or files alone.

  3. Set Length, Format and Film style in the options row (see Options).

  4. Optionally, give the director real material: press + to attach files, or More to add your Website or Brand style. See Give it your website and Give it your files.

  5. Press Create film, or ⌘/Ctrl+Enter.

  6. The film screen opens and shows each stage as it happens: Writing your cinematic script…, Bringing your scenes together…, Composing the music…, Recording your narration… A short film is usually ready to preview in a minute or two; long films can take several minutes. Stop request cancels.

  7. When the chat says your film is ready, play it in the preview. It’s already saved to your account.

  8. Ask for changes in the chat, then press Download video.

Your choices are shared with the template prompt and kept while the tab is open.

Below the prompt, Find a spark shows template films you can borrow a style from. Press a card to add it as a style reference. The director borrows its kind of motion, but designs a fresh film and story around your brief. The × on the chip removes it.

Press More, then Website. Enter your product’s address in Product website and press the import arrow.

The director reads one public page and takes its name, description, headings, key facts and calls to action, one logo, its colour, and up to three pictures. You’ll see what it found, with Use logo, Use image, Use website artwork and Use site theme color. Press Done.

You can also just paste a web address into your brief; it’s read the same way when the film is made.

Press + (or More › Images, videos & documents) and add up to six files.

Kind Formats Limit
Images PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, AVIF, GIF, TIFF 100 MB each
Video MP4, WebM 100 MB each
Documents PDF, PowerPoint, Word, ODT, ODP, RTF, TXT, Markdown, CSV 15 MB and 30 pages or slides each

For each file, choose How should the director use this?

  • Content & artwork: use its facts, images and page artwork in the film (documents).
  • Include in the video: show it as real media in a scene (images and video).
  • Style reference only: guide the look without putting the file in the film.
  • Brand logo: find the logo in it and use it as your mark.

Add an optional Direction for this file, for example “Use the product reveal around 12 seconds” or “Use the logo on slide 1; feature the product on slide 3.” Expand extracted images & pages to pick a logo yourself with Use as logo.

Your original files stay in your workspace. When the film is made, the text extracted from documents and previews of the pictures are sent to the AI. See Privacy and your files.

More › Brand style opens Make it feel like you, where you set Your logo, a Brand accent, a Secondary accent and the Background music.

If you already have a script, write it scene by scene and the director keeps it as written: the order, the wording, any time ranges, and the Voiceover and On-screen lines.

Scene 1 (0:00–0:04)
On-screen: Meet Lumen.
Voiceover: Your voice memos, finally organised.
Scene 2 (0:04–0:09)
On-screen: Talk. We'll take notes.
Voiceover: Speak naturally. Lumen writes the summary.

Each scene is 3 to 60 seconds, with up to 300 characters of voiceover. A film has up to 60 scenes, and they have to fit the Length you chose. If they don’t, the director tells you what to change and leaves your words as they are.

After the film is made, the chat beside the preview is how you change it. Write what you want in plain words and press Enter. Each change is listed under the answer.

Point at a scene by time (“At 0:12…”, “at 12 seconds”), by number (“scene 3”), or as “the first scene” or “the closing scene”. Without a location, the change applies to the whole film.

What you can change:

In a scene Across the film
The headline, supporting line, label and lists Title, brand name and colour palette
The scene’s narration line Art direction (for example Kinetic type studio, App demo cinema, Bold launch)
How long it lasts (3 to 60 seconds) Format (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5)
The shot design Font for every scene (Inter, DM Sans, Space Grotesk)
Camera move: dolly, pull back, orbit, pan or locked Logo and brand colours
Transition: cut, push, iris, wipe, zoom, shutter or whip Narration on or off, and its voice
How the words enter Music on or off, the track (Quiet lift, Open horizon, Human warmth) and its level
Light or dark, text colour, font Sound effects on or off and their level
Which picture or logo it shows, and how it’s framed “Rewrite the narration” or “Record the voice”

Examples:

  • “At 0:08, give the words a bold entrance. Keep everything else.”
  • “Use DM Sans throughout and turn off the music.”
  • “Make scene 3 two seconds longer and use a slow orbit.”
  • “Use the logo from slide 1 of the attached deck.” (attach the file with +)
  • “Switch the narration to George.”

Instant commands work at once and cost nothing: undo, redo, play, pause, export (or download), export without music, export voice-over only, silent, and cancel export. You can undo the last five chat changes.

A whole new film. Asking for a completely new idea, a rewrite of the entire film, or a new length makes a new film (60 credits), so say so clearly, for example “Create a new 30-second app demo from this deck.” Otherwise the director keeps your film and asks what to change.

A change is an AI edit, 20 credits. A message sent within 30 minutes of your last one is a follow-up, 10 credits. The line under the chat shows which price applies before you send. A reply that changes nothing, or a request that fails, costs nothing.

Films are narrated in English. There are 20 voices; a new film uses Sarah.

Group Voices
Lifelike Sarah, Brian (American); George, Alice (British)
Natural read Hannah, Cole, Sienna, Cliff, Heather, Miles (American); Colin, Gemma (British)
More voices Athena, Hera, Thalia, Cora, Apollo, Arcas, Hermes (American); Draco (British)

Ask the chat for a voice by name. A saved film keeps the voice it was recorded with. If a Lifelike voice is unavailable, the closest Natural read voice is used and the chat tells you which.

Press Download video at the top right. Choose the Destination (the film’s own format or another frame), the resolution (720p, 1080p, 1440p or 4K), Frame rate and Encoding. Under Audio in your download you can switch the Voice-over and Background music on or off. Exporting is free. See Exporting and downloading.

Choose Film style › Designed film for a film designed shot by shot from your brief alone. It has no voiceover and doesn’t use a website or your files. It opens in an editor with a live preview, Music and Sound effects settings, Open in video editor and Render video. It costs the same as a storyboard film.

You see What to do
Creation failed Press Retry creation to send the same brief and settings again, or Edit brief to change the brief first. Typing retry in the chat works too. Your credits for the failed film are given back.
Generation stopped. No video was created. You pressed Stop request. Nothing was charged.
You stopped waiting, but your film is still being created. Look for it in Projects (as AI film) in a few minutes.
A storyboard is already being generated. One film is made at a time. Wait for it to finish.
The request was cancelled or timed out. Your film is unchanged. Send the change again.
Those timestamps cover more than one scene. Change one scene at a time, or ask for a change across the whole film.
The supplied scene count cannot fit this duration. Choose a longer Length, or merge scenes. Each scene needs at least 3 seconds.
I kept your film intact because that suggestion would rewrite the whole video. Name the scene, words, style or motion to change, or ask clearly for a new film.
