# Projects

> Find, open and organise everything you make in Muvomi. Films, shorts, video edits and designs are saved as projects automatically.

**Where:** Studio › Library › Projects

Everything you make is saved to your account as a project, with no save button to press. **Projects** lists them all and opens each one in the editor that made it.

## Find and open a project

1. In the studio sidebar, open **Projects**. Your newest projects are also listed under **Recents** in the sidebar and on **Home**.

2. Narrow the list with **Search projects or tags**, the **Project type** filter (**All types**, **Video edits**, **Designs**, **Films**) and **Sort projects** (**Last updated**, **Oldest first**, **Name A–Z**).

3. Click a card to open it.

Projects load a page at a time. Search covers the projects already loaded, so press **Load more projects** to reach older work.

## What’s in Projects

Each card is labelled with what it is:

| Label | Made with |
| --- | --- |
| **AI film** | [AI Product Director](https://docs.muvomi.com/create/ai-product-director/) |
| **AI short** | [AI Shorts](https://docs.muvomi.com/create/ai-shorts/) |
| **Motion film** | A [template](https://docs.muvomi.com/create/templates/), or an AI assistant connected to Muvomi |
| **Designed film** | A designed template film |
| **Video edit** | The [video editor](https://docs.muvomi.com/edit/video-editor/) |
| **Graphic** | [Design Studio](https://docs.muvomi.com/workspace/design-studio/) |

[AI Video](https://docs.muvomi.com/create/ai-video/) and [AI Image](https://docs.muvomi.com/create/ai-image/) results are kept in each tool’s own library and in [Assets](https://docs.muvomi.com/workspace/media-library/), not in Projects.

## Organise projects

The **⋯** menu on a card offers:

- **Rename** and **Duplicate** (a copy is named “… — copy”),
- **Download backup** (video edits and designs),
- **Add to starred**, **Move to folder** and **Edit tags**,
- **Review status**: **Draft**, **Ready for review** or **Approved**, shown on the card,
- **Archive item**.

Tick several cards to **Move**, **Star** or **Archive** them together. The folder bar switches between **All items**, **Starred**, **Archive** and your folders.

> **Note:** Projects can be archived, not deleted. Open **Archive** and choose **Restore to all items** to bring a project back.

## Backups

**Download backup** saves a video edit or a design as a `.json` file. **Import backup** on the Projects page restores it as a new project, named “… — restored”.

A backup holds the project itself, not its media files, and is limited to 4 MB.

## Versions

- **Video edits** keep their 50 most recent saved versions, which you can restore from the editor’s history. See [History and versions](https://docs.muvomi.com/edit/timeline/#history-and-versions).
- **Designs** have 40 steps of undo while open.

## Activity

**Activity** in the sidebar shows your workspace’s history: saved versions, library changes and the progress of each generation. Filter it by kind, press **Refresh**, or **Export loaded events** as a CSV file.

## Troubleshooting

| You see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| *This project could not open.* | Reload the page and try again. |
| *Your videos could not be loaded.* | Press **Retry**. |
| *Choose a backup smaller than 4 MB.* / *This file is not a valid JSON backup.* | Use a backup downloaded from Muvomi’s **Download backup**. |
| An editor offers the newer version or a copy | The project was saved in another tab or device. Load the newer version, or keep yours as a copy. |
