# Brand kits

> Save your logo, colours and typeface as a brand kit and apply it to a video edit in one press, or bring your brand in from your website.

**Where:** Studio › Brand kits

A brand kit keeps your logo, three colours and a typeface in one place. In the [video editor](https://docs.muvomi.com/edit/video-editor/), one press applies the kit’s colours and typeface to the whole edit.

Muvomi can also read your **website** for its logo, name, colour and words, and put them into a template, a film or a design. That’s a separate feature, described [below](https://docs.muvomi.com/workspace/brand-kits/#bring-your-brand-from-your-website).

## Create a brand kit

1. In the studio sidebar, open **Brand kits** and press **New brand kit** (or **Create a brand kit** if you don’t have one yet).

2. Fill in the kit:

    - **Brand name** and **Brand notes** (your audience, voice and visual direction),
    - three colours: **Accent**, **Text** and **Background**,
    - a **Typeface**: Inter, DM Sans or Space Grotesk.
3. Press **Choose logo** to pick an image from your [Assets](https://docs.muvomi.com/workspace/media-library/). The × removes it.

4. Press **Save brand kit**.

Your kits appear as cards with a sample, the typeface and the three colours. Click a card to edit it.

## Apply a kit to a video

1. Open your edit in the [video editor](https://docs.muvomi.com/edit/video-editor/).

2. Press **Brand** (the **Aa** button in the tool row).

3. Choose a kit.

Applying a kit changes the background, the titles’ colour and typeface, the captions’ colour, and the colours and typeface of motion clips. It doesn’t place the logo in the video; add the logo as an image from your media if you want it on screen.

You can also ask the [editor’s AI](https://docs.muvomi.com/edit/editor-ai/) to apply one of your kits by name, for example *“Use my Acme brand kit.”*

## Bring your brand from your website

Templates, AI Product Director and Design Studio can each read a public website for its brand.

**In a template:**

1. Open the template’s editor. Find **Your brand — Logo, colours and words**.

2. Type your site’s address (for example `yourproduct.com`) and press **Use my site**.

3. A notice says what changed, for example *“Acme’s logo and colours are in.”* The preview jumps to a frame that shows the logo.

4. If you like, choose the site’s **Logo** or **Picture**, set **Logo backing** to **None**, **Light** or **Dark**, or press **Upload a logo instead**. **Undo** on the notice reverses the change.

5. To have the words written from your site too, press **Write the film from this site**.

**In AI Product Director**, add your website in the prompt’s options before you create the film. See [AI Product Director](https://docs.muvomi.com/create/ai-product-director/).

**In Design Studio**, name the website in your request. See [Design from a website](https://docs.muvomi.com/workspace/design-studio/#design-from-a-website).

What a website gives:

- the site’s name, title, description, headings, key facts and calls to action,
- one brand colour: the site’s theme colour, or the logo’s colour if the site doesn’t declare one,
- one logo and up to three pictures.

Fonts aren’t read from websites. A logo you’ve uploaded yourself and words you’ve rewritten are kept when you apply a site.

> **Note:** Reading a website doesn’t create a saved brand kit, and a saved kit can’t yet be applied inside templates, AI Product Director or Design Studio. Kits apply to video edits.

## Cost

Brand kits and reading a website for its brand are free. **Write the film from this site** is an AI edit: 20 credits, or 10 credits as a follow-up.
