# AI Image

> Generate original pictures from a description, guided by up to ten reference images, in sizes up to 4K. Finished pictures open in the video editor.

AI Image generates one original picture per request from your description. Up to ten reference images can guide its subject, composition or style. Pictures are saved as full-size PNGs in your **Image library** and [Assets](https://docs.muvomi.com/workspace/media-library/), and the finished picture opens in the [video editor](https://docs.muvomi.com/edit/video-editor/) as a clip.

## Generate a picture

1.  On **Home**, choose **AI Image** under **Create with**.

2.  Describe the picture, in at least 10 characters. For example: *“A ceramic coffee cup on a linen tablecloth, soft window light, shallow depth of field.”*

3.  Optionally, press **+** (**Add a reference image**) to add up to ten pictures from your library. Say in your prompt what each one is for, for example *“use the first reference for the cup’s shape and the second for the colours.”*

4.  Set **Format**, **Resolution** and **Look**.

5.  Press **Generate image**. The picture appears in the **Image library** and moves through **Queued** and **Generating** to **Ready**.

6.  When it’s ready, it opens in the video editor.

## Cost

Each picture uses 5 credits. You’re charged when you press **Generate image**. A picture that fails, is cancelled, or ends as **Needs attention** with nothing delivered gives its credits back.

## The image library

Each card offers **Use in an edit**, **Download**, **Reuse settings** and **Details**. While a picture is still **Queued**, you can cancel it; once it’s generating, wait for it to finish.

## Limits

-   One picture per request.
-   The model reads up to 2,000 characters; a longer description is shortened by the AI, and the studio says so.
-   References: up to ten different PNG, JPG or WebP pictures from your library, up to 10 MB each and about 24 MB together. They’re sent to the image provider.

> **Tip:** A finished picture can’t be painted over or upscaled. To change one, add it as a reference, describe the change, and generate again.

## Troubleshooting

| You see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| *Add a little more detail (at least 10 characters).* | Describe the picture in more words. |
| *Ten references is the most.* | Remove a reference before adding another. |
| *This image is already processing.* | It can’t be cancelled now. Wait for it to finish. |
| A card shows **Needs attention** | The request was interrupted and won’t be sent again on its own. If nothing was delivered, your credits were given back. |
